Starting counselling isn’t always easy, especially for women of colour who often carry many responsibilities and put the needs of others before their own. Taking the step to focus on yourself can feel unfamiliar, but you don’t have to do it alone. I offer a supportive and affirming space for BIPOC women to explore different challenges such as anxiety, work-related stress, relationship issues, parenting stress, life transitions, and more.

While my work is centred on supporting Black women and women of colour, I welcome adults of all backgrounds and identities who feel that my approach resonates with their needs.

You deserve to be seen, heard, and cared for. I offer individual counselling and mental health support in both English and French.

Get to know me

My name is Mamy Kalambay, I am a Registered Psychotherapist and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. We all deal with daily challenges in our life, they can stem from our childhood, our work, our love life, family life and everything in between. We have the potential to reach our goals and  become the person we envision ourselves to be.

As a mental health professional, my role is to assist you in your journey to achieve these goals; together we will figure out strategies and tools that are ideal for you. Remember you are the expert of yourself, this is your process of growth, well-being and self-discovery.

Individual Sessions

Personalized one-on-one support for individuals navigating anxiety, racial trauma, relationship challenges, parenting stress, life transitions, and more. Together, we’ll create a space that’s grounded in understanding, growth, and self-compassion.

Group Support Sessions

Connect in a supportive, facilitator-led space with others who share similar experiences. These groups foster healing through community, validation, and skill-building, with topics including perinatal mental health, DBT skills, and racial trauma.

Speaking Engagements

Engaging talks on mental health, identity, and emotional well-being, centred on Black communities and people of colour. I help organizations and community spaces foster psychological safety, understanding, and meaningful connection.

How it works

Counselling should feel accessible, not confusing.
Here’s how we’ll get started, step by step,
with clarity and care.

Let’s connect for a 15-minute call. You can ask your questions, share what you’re looking for, and see if we’re a good fit.

If you are ready to move forward, we’ll book your first counselling session at a time that works for you.

Before our first session, you’ll fill out a short intake questionnaire and review a few important documents, including a consent to treatment form, so you know exactly what to expect and feel fully informed.

We’ll take time to explore what brought you to counselling and begin identifying your goals and intentions for our work together.

From here, we’ll move forward with care, clarity, and intention, at your pace.
